SPECTACULAR VIEWS SUNRISE TO SUNSET

Enjoy sunrises over the Caribbean from the beachfront patio, and sip margaritas on the front porch as you watch the sun disappear into the mystery shrouded Jungle of the Yucatan Peninsula.
This lovely two bedroom, one bath beach house sits right on the beach on the windward side of lovely Isla Mujeres. If you will click on the "Photo of Isla Mujeres" link below, our house is on the East (left) coast on the narrow strip of land in the center of the island.
The beach is sandy but has rock and coral at the waters edge. On calm days, the snorkeling is excellent right offshore. If it is windy, the entry is very difficult. The swimming beaches are 2 miles north at Playa Norte. Downtown is 1 mile north and is an easy walk or a short taxi ride.
Isla Mujeres is a small island about 6 miles off the coast of Cancun Mexico. To get to Las Brisas, take a shuttle from the airport to Puerto Juarez. Puerto Juarez is 15 miles north of Cancun. The fast ferry departs every half hour from 6 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. and then there is one more at 11:30 P.M. It takes about 15 minutes to cross from Puerto Juarez, or for a more authentic introduction to Manana Land, take the older slow ferries. They take 45 minutes, and don't be surprised if the lady sitting next to you is holding a live chicken or a pail of Masa to make tortillas. If you have a car, or the ocean is very rough, take the car ferry at Punta Sam, 5 miles north of Puerto Juarez. Isla Mujeres still retains much of the old Caribbean charm that is the hallmark of The Turquoise Coast.
Because of the almost constant breeze we named our home Las Brisas (The Breezes).
The house is fully equipped for relaxed living, is air conditioned and is within walking distance of downtown and swimming beaches.
The bedroom on the beach side has a queen size bed, and the other bedroom has two double beds. There are hammock hooks in the front bedroom and on the patio. The hammock on the patio is the place for your siesta. If you don't succumb to the sound of the waves gently lapping at the shore, then the swooshing of the palm trees will take you to LaLa land in no time flat. Of course an afternoon Bloody Mary or Margarita helps the snooze too.
Isla Mujeres and Las Brisas are for people looking to relax and enjoy the Carribean. This is not the place for Spring Breakers looking to go wild. Most of the bars and restaurants close at 10 or 11.
Las Brisas is in a nice residential neighborhood. Most of the neighbors are American, Canadian or European. Feel free to introduce yourself. Most of them are on vacation and will be glad to visit for awhile.
If you decide to stay with us, we will send you a guide that we have developed with our tips on restaurants, diving and places to go and things to do
